Well, my wife has been with our 4 year old and 2 year old daughters every day since birth. Today is the end of my 4 year old’s second week of school in pre K. We got her up to go to school this morning and she says she would rather go to the shop. She is a real good girl. She is getting a proper raising in the wood shop.

She does like school, it is just that by the end of the week she is looking for a break.

What a sweetie! Looks like your little girl likes spending her time with her Daddy. My 9 year old still says that her favorite hobby is woodworking, which really means “spending time with my dad outside”.

Enjoy those kids!!

Thanks for the kind responses, we sure enjoy our girls and woodworking as a family deal. This weekend we will all be working to complete a Maple kitchen.

I to enjoyed having my daughter in the shop. Enjoy it while you can it won’t take long before its the boys she’s interested in. LOL Have fun in the mean time, as those are memories no one can take from you.

I have seven boys and one girl. The four youngest love coming to the shop. They ask frequently if they can skip school and help Daddy in the shop. The teenage boys take it in spells. They spend more time there when they’re having girl troubles and don’t have any particular girl on their mind. My daughter though (she’s 16), she only comes to the shop when her boyfriend comes over because he usually comes to see what I’m doing in the shop before he goes to the house to see her. She can’t stand it that he seems interested in what I’m doing.
