Topic tags/keywords: question tablesaw

I am looking for the bracket for this kind of fence. I had excellent acuracy with this until yesterday when a bracket broke. I know that some of you are changing over to an extruded aluminum fence ….

(you can see in the photo the break) If anyone has info on where I could get one new or used it would be greatly appreciated.

I already tried Harbor Freight, that is where I bought it (I still had the manual with parts diagrams) .... they don’t have much for this (the table saw is 15-20 years old).

I was gonna suggest a welder as well. The old tube type fences are pretty much going the way of the dodo bird… They worked well, but it seems the square stock T square style are more in vogue these days.

Hey Rick:

That looks exactly like the saw fence on my son’s table saw. Most of those saws were made by a company in Tywan called Mao Shan. I would try to find them on the web and e-mail them for parts. You may want to try a Google search. If the parts are not available, I too would suggest getting the part welded. I found there web site and it is WWW.MaoShan.com. Good Luck! MaoShan is a large manufacturer of table saws imported to the US. If you decide to replace your fence, check out http://www.mulecab.com/ who makes a good aftermarket table saw fence at a good price.

Hey Rick:

I sure butchered that word up, it is Taiwan. Oh well, that’s what happens when you turn 71.
