Topic tags/keywords: lathe manuals rockwell delta

I am new to woodworking, but I sometimes prefer to buy old machines, because they just don’t make them like they used to and you can get some good deals too. But it becomes harder to find information about these older machines.

Currently, I’m looking for a manual for a older Rockwell 12” Variable Speed Wood Lathe model 46-612 that I picked up from a school. Delta (which is now Dewalt) doesn’t appear to be supporting the older equipment anymore. Does anyone know where I could find a source for manual for this machine (preferably with instructions)? Also does anyone have any good resources for old machine manuals?

Thanks for the responses. Owwm.com didn’t have the manual for my lathe, but Ray at Ozarkwoodworker.com did have one. I actually called him up and ordered it over the phone. He sounded like a nice guy, very knowledgeable. He even answered a few questions I had about operating it.

Here’s the link to the manual I got: ROCKWELL 12 Variable Wood Lathe OP/Parts Manual

If anyone is interested, I can let them know how the manual is after I get it, but so far I am very happy with the service.

Have your say...
