I’m trying to find someone thats selling a gently used 14” bandsaw In the Louisville, KY vicinity that I can use in my woodworking efforts. I am mainly going to use it for preparing bowl blanks from logs. Something in the 1 HP range.
If you have or know anyone that has a decent saw for sale please have them message me. Not looking to spend a fortune, just want a good serviceable tool.

Thanks

Nothing yet; I’m starting to think that it’s futile

As soon as I win the lottery you can have mine.. Best of luck in getting a used one. Do not be afraid to walk if it looks bad or you think it is crap.

Those are the best… you can get them cheap, are built way better than what is out there today, and can easily be cleaned up. My 1950 Delta is now better than new, and it cost me all of about $112 (purchase price + restoration costs).

Cheers,
Brad

PS: I don’t believe there were many band saws around during the civil war :)
