Hi, I would like to get some advice from anyone in this forum about this project. I want to build a medicine cabinet but am worried about the constant change of humidity. Has anyone ever built a medicine cabinet? What wood and joints would you recommend. I am thinking I want to use cherry wood. I want it to have a swinging door with a engraved mirror, the one that is there now has a spring loaded stop so the door don’t open all the way. It’s old but I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a new swinging stop. It looks like a piece of steel rod that has an L on one end that connects to the door in a slot for the L rod. Thanks Tim

I would stay away from a miter joint on the door unless splined or some other way to hold the joint.

Have your say...
