Canadians Lee Valley is having a Hand Plane Workshop on January 28.
Free just need to Reg. Get to test/play with some fine tools!
I signed up at my local store in Edmonton for the 12:30 session.

I was at the Saskatoon store’s workshop last year. The presentation didn’t have anything I didn’t already know but would be good for beginners. The good part is getting to play with the planes. I left there really wanting the shooter. Someday.

was thinking of signing up and bringing in my high angle smoothing plane. I haven’t been able to figure out how to set it correctly to get it to work… Not like setting my low angle planes at all.

I may have to try a register for the 12:30 so we can finally meet andre :-)

Hey, that’s like what I just got, #4 with a 55 degree frog, only used it on some Oak so far and only real quirk was getting some shavings jam with the throat closed, hope to see you there.
