Thanks Dennis, I’ll try it but it looks like it requires 6 more computer brain cells than I have available.

In a nutshell. Post the pic elsewhere on the internet. Then add a link to it from your blog or a post here. Now just fill in all the details. :)

Hi:

With all due respect to Dennis (Great Guy!), the post that is shown on the Link is Very Much Out Of Date.

PhotoBucket doesn’t do it that way anymore. It’s much easier now.

I just posted to another Forum where the guy was having a Problem Getting all of his Picture from PhotBucket to show on here. (1/3 of the picture was always missing.)

I did a Ridculously LONG Reply to that Post! http://lumberjocks.com/topics/19822

Ater doing all that it dawned on me that I could check the size of his picures by “Right Clicking” on his picture and Click “Properties”, Turns out he was Uploading to PhotoBucket, and trying to Post Here from There, Pictures that were 1023×480! That size will completely fill a 17” Computer Screen!

When you’re on the “Upload Images and Videos” Page of PhotoBucket, you’ll see at the right and below in small print “more options” click that and a page comes up where you can pick the size you want to Upload, than “Save”. There are 7 Choices there. 90% of the time I use “Large” (640×480) they fit quite nicely on here. You can Downsize your picutres once they are on the Bucket…BUT! To the best of my knowledge you CANNOT Upsize them.

ALSO: When you are Composing a Post, notice in the Beige Top Header “pictures & videos friendly”. If you click on that you will go to Martins VERY Lenghty procedure on Posting Pictures. BUT! There is a Link there that will take you to PhotoBucket’s Tutorial on Handling Pictures.

Okay! I’m stopping now before this one gets as L O N G as the other one. ....LOL….

Hope it helps.

PS: Hey Dennis! I’ve got some Great Sites if you want to Bookmark them. Just make sure you’re Wife/Lady Friends aren’t around when you’re Viewing THEM. By THEM I mean ….........Oh! You can figure it out My Friend. ;-} HA!

I just did ANOTHER Post here and it got whiped out on Review??? So this is the shorter version.

Nothing I wrote above helped? Did you TRY anything? YES? NO?

Where is the Picture now? On your Computer? A Web Site, PhotoBucket? A little more information than “I can’t do it.” would help if you want this “THING” Solved. You told Dennis that you were going to seek the help of a Computer Friend. 11 hours later you’re back saying you’re still looking for help???

The only place on here that you can take Pictures directly from your Computer and Post them, is in “New Projects”. Of course you already know that because you have Posted 2 Projects in there.

I’m not a Computer Geek by any means but I Learned how to do it by reading the Information I Posted above. This is NOT Rocket Science. The Vast Majority of 20,000 Members can do it. So can you.

This is how easy it is 30 Seconds Max!

This is a picture of my Partner, Dave (On Right, Now Deceased) and I over 30 Years ago. Leaning on our Camping Trailer at the location where the “2” of US Built 2 Cottages in One Season, Roughed in to Plumbing & Electrical, No Hydro, Generator for equipment.

Dave & Rick 639x451

This is a Picture of one of the Cottages we built. I designed a Single Truss that “Flips Around” and makes the other side wall i.e. 2 Trusses joined at the top are the “same” design of truss. Clearstory all the way up until two thirds of the way back, then 2 Storey for bedrooms. All built on Solid Irregular Granite, Piers were attached to the rock by drilling 1” Re-Bar 12” down into the Granite. ETC. ETC.

Dysart 512x550

Sorry took 45 Seconds, Bad Typist. Let me know. More Info Is Required.

Rick, thanks for your continued help, as well as Dennis’s help. The picture is currently on my computer. I have no trouble sending or emailing pics elswhere…........and it is rocket science if you dont know what your doing. The reason I am still looking for a helper to assist is because I havent lived in the state very long and I dont know too many people. My job only has 1 other person, and he lives far away. For now the tool remains a mystery.

jtmek, your picture isn’t going to be available for viewing anywhere while it is on your computer, you must upload it to a hosting site.

Go HERE and sign up for a free account.
It is simple, quick and painless. You will never have to do that step again.

Once you do that then all you have to do is upload your picture. It is very simple to do, no more difficult than posting something here.

Once the image is hosted then make a post here with a link to the picture and there it is, done and done.
Or if you would rather, email the picture to me and I’ll do it for you.

Here is jtmek’s mystery tool. Sorry about the direct link but I couldn’t get the full image to load correctly.

It looks like a plane used by a cooper… or an inshave of some type?
