So I have some Kreg equipment that I have had for about 6 years and have not used for 3 years. I got it out for a project and found a critical piece of hardware missing. I went to kregs web site and could not find the piece available to buy. I sent customer service an email about 11:00 pm asking about the part I needed. The next morning at 8:30 am I got a reply explaining that the part is not available to buy, but they will be happy to send me one. He asked for my information which I emailed back to him. 2 days later I received the part I needed by FedEx. Now that is Customer Service by anyone’s standards. I have been a fan of and always will be a fan of Kreg Tools. Dan

Kreg is a good bunch. I had to opportunity to do a project with them while I was in college helping they layout a facility expansion. I got to visit they factory several times. It was an outstanding experience and always default them them if I need a tool of some sort.

That’s great to hear, especially in an age where buyer beware has been taken to new heights with too many seemingly good companies produce absolute garbage (Husky) and not standing behind their products when the inevitable happens. I only have a few things from Kreg now but it’s reassuring to know that I’ll be taken care of if anything has an issue and I need something to fix it.

+1 for Kreg’s customer service. They are a great bunch indeed. They definitely earn their customer base.

I had a similar experience, except that in my experience the tool I’d lost the part for had been improved since I bought mine so they sent me the whole tool!

I love hearing stuff like this. I know it’s not woodworking, but I thought I’d share that an old coworker of mine had a similar experience with Weber. He bought a grill used, went to order the missing part (which was available for sale, and he had no qualms purchasing it because of the deal he got), but the rep informed him that they’d just send it to him free because of the relative newness of the grill…even though he was not the original purchaser!

I only own a couple of Kreg items (K4, shelf pin jig, one of their measuring tools), all of which I enjoy using, and this certainly points me in the right direction for future purchases!

Good to hear.

In my experience, most of the time, the response you get from customer service depends on how you present the problem or question to them.

That is typical for Kreg. I buy from them for stores where I work and they have always been a class act business to deal with. It is very rare to run into any kind of issue (such as missing parts) but have had the exact same experience the couple times it’s happened. Everything is taken care of quickly and easily.

We are all so quick to report bad experiences, it’s great to hear about the good ones.
