I have a Reliant band saw that will not start, it is not the safety switch because I tried that so does anyone have any other suggestions on what it might be. It worked fine before we moved to another state and now it will not even start when pushing the start button on

Does anything else work in the same outlet?

Ask Karson. He has a Reliant.

Doe’s the motor make any sound when the switch is pushed to the on position? If it does you may have a bad capacitor or a binding in the drive train. If there is no noise I would first check the line side of the switch and see if I have power going to it, then the load side of the switch. If you’re running it off an extension cord the cord has to be the proper size if it’s to small this could cause the problem.
