Anyone subscribe to Woodworker’s Journal? I just received a $10/year subscription offer and I’m always looking for good woodworking magazines to subscribe to.

If you subscribe (or have in the past) did you enjoy it?

mnorusis- I have been getting Woodworkers Journal since its inception along with about 16 other wood working magazines. I like them all. That’s a very good price. I’m seeing other magazines with low entry prices. The only problem I have now is space. The shed is full of boxes of magazines. I’m thinking of going to the cd’s with the complete history. Costly ,but would free up my shed.

I got that same offer and went ahead and ordered it. It’s cheap for a year. I also get ShopNotes and like it. For $10 though, it’s worth finding out how good it is.

Now and then it has a good article or two but it is not one of my favorates. I received it as a gift and am not sure if I will renew when it comes time. Lots of advertising like wood magazine. I have written them several times complaining about there practice of sending out books and videos without my ordering them. You have to take the material back to the post office and return it or they will send more. A real pain in the you know what.

I like “Shop Notes” much better. No ads or tool reviews (opinions) crowding out the interesting stuff.

+1 for Woodworker’s Journal. I have been a subscriber for about 5 years and have every intention of renewing when it comes around again.
