My wife is wanting this made, but can’t figure out the type of wood… suggestions???

Hard to tell…maybe ash or stained maple.

Looks like clear pine.
The bottom open drawer looks like there could be knots on the left side.

I didn’t see the same color as the one you posted,
but the 2 that they show both say they’re constructed from kiln dried Spruce

I’ve never been a fan of stained maple.
I would go with Alder as an economical wood, or Walnut if you don’t mind spending a little extra.
