Hello
So my dad gave me his craftsman table saw but he couldn’t find the fence i been looking for a while now and no luck. The model number of the saw is 113.299315 its in great shape and still has a lot of years left in it. The number of the fence is 824346 at least thats the number craftsman gave me but i had no luck with that number. Unfortunately craftsman dont make that fence anymore but i figure there has to be an alternative fence out there that would work on this table saw any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

You’ll need to make the call or not on how you feel about eBay but you can’t go wrong with this fence/rail system, http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/271918813095?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true

Thanks for the info syenefarmer im a big fan of eBay. So that one would fit my saw? Just wanted to make sure before i spent 200. Any other ones you would recommend? Do I need to purchase the hole fence system and rails or is there just the fence out there that would work on my model table? thanks

Fences are not interchangeable. They are designed to fit their prospective rail systems.

Their are more expensive aftermarket fence-systems than the Delta T3, but for that saw it’s a no-brainer. The fence you’ve referenced is actually the best of the OEM Craftsman fences, but for my money I’d go with the Delta T3 instead of replacing parts piecemeal.

That T3 is the best fence you can put on that craftsman saw. The original fence with the 113 saw was not much. It could not be made to stay square with the blade. Is really the item that gave the craftsman saws a bad reputation.

If you’re serious about that saw, get the fence. (You can order it from HD or Lowes for about $194 plus tax, btw.)

The stock fence on your saw was likely one of the lame Emerson made steel fences …many folks replace them anyway. The Delta T3 will likely require drilling a couple of holes in the cast iron (which actually drills pretty easily), but it’s the best bang for the buck going, and will transform that saw into a respectable performer. Get the fence, get the blade aligned with the miter slot, align the fence to the blade, buy a decent blade (good Freud Diablo and Irwin Marples blades start just under $30), and enjoy! If there’s much vibration, I’d consider getting a new belt too.

Thanks for the advice knotscott i actually ordered a new belt already figured why not sence im putting couple bucks into it. The rails that are on there are aluminum and the top by the blade is steel so im sure ill have to do some drilling anyways for the new rails anymore advice i appreciate it Thanks again

Has anyone confirmed how hard/easy it is to mount the T3 on a shorter table? How is the rear rail mounted so the fence ‘hook’ on the end can engage it – or is fence/hook just left to hang off the back of the saw?

Cheers,
Brad

I stand corrected on the stock fence….it’s not the old steel Emerson, it’s the upgraded aluminum fence, which wasn’t as bad. The T3 is still the better fence IMO, but if you already have the front and rear rails, you might find just the fence at a decent price.

Not if you have those extruded aluminum rails.

Well, that listing just expired. If it were me, I’d hit the seller up with an email and see if you can’t work out a deal for just the fence.
