Hey guys,

I recently tried to revive an old thread, but thought I would pull this out to its own so it would be more on topic.

I am considering the Jess Em Rout-R-Lift II. I do not use my router very much, though I would use it for more with a decent router table. I feel like this lift has the right feature set for me, but I am concerned about the phenolic plate warping. It looks like they have placed some aluminum stiffeners on it to help combat that. But:

For those of you that have had one for a number of years now, is the top still flat?

The next step up from here is almost twice the cost (Mast-R-Lift or equivalent). I don’t want to spend the extra money unless I really need to.

Thanks,
Brian

I can’t answer for the master lift plate as i have the excel II which is built into the table top. But i can tell you I just picked up this router table with jessems new TA fence. And this fence is amazing. I never thought too much about Jessem router tables but when i went into woodcraft last saturday this thing sold me.

I have an Incra router lift. It is made by Jess Em. Works are identical except mine has metal plates. I love it and have had zero problems in the 3 yrs. I have used it almost daily. I got mine from Rockler and am very happy with it. Here is the link if you want to check it out. http://www.rockler.com/incra-master-lift-ii-designed-for-rockler-tables Here is the Incra link http://incra.com/router_system_accessories-mast-r-lift-ii.html Here is what I found on Jess Em Mast-R-Lift http://www.eagleamerica.com/product/v415-6506/shop_by_brand_-_jessem

I thought they were comparable price when I bought mine.

Thanks. That incra is the same as the Jess em mast-r-lift and both of those have the aluminum plate. The Rout-r-lift I am considering is about half that cost but has a phenolic plate with an aluminum stiffener on back.

Surely some folks have that model….

My bad !! Guess I did not remember they made another model. Did not read your first post close enough.
