I finally got some plants growing from my table:

I planned this from the early stages by building a shelf underneath the opening in the top. These are snake plants / mother in law’s tongue.

Cool idea! Great looking table, and the MIL tongue plants are pretty hardy and nearly indestructible. My wife has some that have been around since the early days of our marriage; and we have been at it for 38 years. Love the heartwood/sapwood contrasts. Good Luck, Work Safely and HAVE FUN!
