Hoping I have this posted in the right area…

I got the Mr. Heater 80k BTU unit for xmas to heat my 3 stall insulated garage. I would like to do a horizontal vent because I’m not a big fan of punching a hole in my roof. Anyway, I was looking at the vent kit supplied by Mr. Heater and for some reason the vertical one is $100 but the horizontal one is over $300!! All I can tell is the horizontal claims stainless and has an adjustable pipe and the vertical does not… Is this the reason for the big price difference??

This link shows both kits…

That is a pretty big difference in price. I wonder why it would be so much more? I just checked into getting a wood stove added to my shop and found out that I have to have a CSA certified stove and it has to be ‘professionally’ installed or my insurance company will not insure my home and shop. You may want to check out the insurance implications of adding a Mr. Heater to the shop.
