Topic tags/keywords: triton tormek wet stone compatible sharpening

I have been researching powered wet stone systems. Obviously I want the Tormek T8 but it is very pricey. Then I found the Triton TWSS10 which is half the price and for all practicality pretty much the same setup as the Tormek T8. All Tormek Jigs are compatible with the Triton. The only thing I am not sure as far as compatibility is using the Tormek Japanese wet stone.

If the shaft of the Triton and Tormek are the same diameter than I should have no issues but I cannot find information on shaft diameter for the Tormek. If anyone knows this information or can point me to a link or if you have one and can provide measurements that would be great. The Triton seems to be a good value and they have quite a few jigs at half the cost of Tormek jigs so for me this seems to be a economical route for me.
