I would love to get e-mail notifications on selected blogs. Is there a way to add a “Tracking” button to tag threads/blogs/projects/. Then we could receive e-mail notifications on things not started by us. With so much content. It is hard to keep track. -- -John "Do I have to keep typing a smiley? RSS feeds, and the buddy list cover this…I think. Unless I’m missing something. -- You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation. (Plato) |

Exactly Karson. I don’t want to monitor it via RSS. -- -John "Do I have to keep typing a smiley? Just assume it's a joke." www.flickr.com/photos/gizmodyne |

John, did you try to just add the authors of such blogs to your buddies? It works for me, although I also keep an avid eye on the RSS feeds directly inside the inbox of my Mail.app on my Mac. Is the best way to not miss any new projects posted too. My two yens worth. On the other hand I agree a single feed for every thread/blog would be cool. I guess it’d be a lot of (unpaid) work for Martin but I know of many sites that have a sort of a dynamic “RSS feed generator” or whatever it is called. On those sites you do your searches and then you can generate a feed for the results, pretty useful for follow ups. That’s the way we expats get our fix in TV series or similar stuff, thank you torrents (until you’ve seen the ‘quality’ of jap’TV you haven’t seen it all in life… Yuck!) ;o) -- Jojo, shopless in Kyoto · http://www.japanese-woodworking-tools.com/ · http://twitter.com/japanesetools |

I don’t want to mark them buddies. I just want to follow an occasional odd project or blog. It would be like favorites, but I could turn it on or off. -- -John "Do I have to keep typing a smiley? Just assume it's a joke." www.flickr.com/photos/gizmodyne |

Hey John… I’m aware of this missing feature and after finishing work on the Reviews this is now on the top of the todo list.. together with the revamped blog pages. Thanks for reminder ;) -- Martin, http://lumberjocks.com | My Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/people/Martin_Sojka/1357216976 |

Sorry, Giz…I did misunderstand a bit. I was hoping for a feature where you could subscribe to threads and get notifications of all followups to that thread. -- You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation. (Plato) |

I have seen blogs out there that allow you to be notified of any follow up comments after you’ve commented on them. I’m not sure which provider offered this feature… some blogs are so customized, you can’t tell if its on wordpress, typepad, etc… -- I am always doing what I cannot do yet, in order to learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso -- http://snbcreative.wordpress.com/ |

On “Woodcarving Illustrated,” when you make a comment on a thread, you are automatically subscribed to that thread, & you get email notification whenever a comment is made on it. If you make a lot of comments, you tend to get a lot of emails though. -- -** You are never to old to set another goal or to dream a new dream ****************** Dick, & Barb Cain, Hibbing, MN. http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/gallery/member.php?uid=3627&protype=1 |
