Wood Expansion Calculator 1.0 is available and now supports Metric dimensions. This tool is a Ruby script plugin for SketchUp and can be used to compute the seasonal dimensional change in woods for various regions of the country. It is a free tool and can be downloaded at http://www.srww.com/downloads/wood_expansion_calculator_rev_1.0.zip . I first wrote about this tool in June (see http://www.srww.com/blog/?p=1223) and explained its use. I again posted a blog announcing the release of Revision 1.0 (see http://www.srww.com/blog/?p=1259) and explaining the changes to this release. Check it out. If you have trouble or don’t know how to install it in SketchUp, contact me at jpz@srww.com . Joe…. -- Joe..... |
