Hello everyone,

First post, long time reader. I have a Dewalt 735 Planer that wouldn’t move up or down. Found a few problems.

1. Tension sprocket for the chain was missing a few teeth. Fixed that.
2. One sprocket (the one on crank wheel post) has cracked.

I have a new sprocket on the way.. I can’t seem to get the nut that holds down the sprocket off the post. I did pull off the lock washer tab holding nut. Now what?? How do I get the nut off?

Any help would be so helpful…I need to get this back ASAP.

Thanks!!

Jacob

Is this the nut? Can you spin it tapping it with a punch?
