Topic tags/keywords: headboard

Going to make a oak twin bed for my son. The headboard will have a few shelves. Should I be using oak plywood for most of the headboard and either trim it or use veneer strips, or just use solid oak and glue it up?

My choice would be to use solid wood. I think the edges would look better and you wouldnt have to do trim etc.

I agree, I would use as much soild wood as you can. Maybe just do ply on the back.
