I picked these up on a recent trip to Costa Rica…
According to the guy I bought them from, Teak.
I’m thinking of making a couple of clocks…
Who sells a good mechanism?
I checked out Hobby Lobby and theirs seemed a bit flimsey..

Google “clock movements”. Lots of choices.

Having lived and owned businesses in CR, I would be very learry about what the guy told you it is :)
(but they do have some really beautiful native trees indeed, as you can see)!

As for clock mechanisms, yeah… do like Mark said. I just happen to have a cypress place a few miles from me that sells all manor of cypress stuff, including clocks, so I just pick them up from there.

Thanks Mark, I can figure out the Google. I was wondering if there are better movements out there that people have used and can recommend…
