I now you can make your own wipe on varnish by mixing 50-50 poly and mineral sprites. Can you do this same with water borne poly?

That’s a good question. I wondered the same thing, so I tried it. I can’t say I was real pleased with the results. It tended to go on unevenly and dry too quickly.

I understand there are some wipe-on water based polys on the market now, and I’m definitely going to try them to see how they differ from my homemade concoction.
