Hi- I’m brand new here and pretty novice to table making…

Wanted to emulate this table design; but concerned about the apron and leg element. The legs look fairly minimal so wondered about rigidity…any suggestions?

That is a very crude table. I can’t be sure from the picture but without stretchers and aprons there is nothing to prevent racking. How you build it largely depends on the size, smaller tables need less bracing, obviously. It makes a nice photograph, but will not hold up to actual use.

Yeah thanks- it looks like it has an apron (darker wood on the undrside by the looks) but no stretcher. Its the lack of solid legs that has me worried about racking

This sounds like one of my wife’s “see this, build me one” projects.

The “apron” piece does not look to be in the same plane as the legs, which makes me think there is more to see under the table. Tough to tell from the picture, but looking at the modern nature of the setting, my guess is that there is a steel table under the planks and they are simply attached as a skin.
