Jet Dust Collector Remote Receiver

Another dust collector question. Has anyone relocated the receiver for the Jet Dust Collector? It’s in a very inconvenient location for me. First, It’s hard for me to get the remote to work because I don’t have easy line of site with the receiver. Second, I can’t see the display on the receiver so I can’t tell if my timer is set correctly or not when I use it. I’d love to just pop it off and mount it up higher on the wall.

I was hoping I could take it apart and add some wire to it so I could extend the box where/when I needed to move it around. The fish eye mirror was also on my mind. I’ll have to try it, has anyone else tried it ? -- "so much to learn and so little time"..
