A man at the gas station ask me, have you had a good day today? He said, if his days were good then his nights generally were bad. I said,” that’s not good” half in sympathy, half in doubt. Sucks to be him if he wasn’t lying.
But he did get me asking myself if it had been a good day …........
The bills are payed and the Banker did not call asking for the house.
I did not lay in bed all day in agony
My Uncle’s has been shot but to my knowledge no one is gunning for me.
No one has called and said someone is dead.
I have no boss to report too.
I’m not alone.
The car, the air conditioner, the refrigerator, the computer and the toilet all work.
I think it’s a good day!
Have you had a good day?

Great thread!

I have had a good day so far because

—I have a husband whom I adore and who adores me and brushes my hair while I make coffee
—the builder of our house called to confirm that the well pump had been dropped in the well, and there was actually water down there, albeit muddy.
—we can actually move into the new house by August 16!
—I have a job that I love doing and can pay the builder and all the other bills and have money left over for tools and wood
—my job allows me to help people all over the world with knowledge to get to better health

Everyday Above Ground is a Good Day!

Every night we fix our aircraft and watch all those planes leave its a great day.

I have a great wife that doesn’t question me spending money on the wood shop no matter what I buy. She once told her friend that mentioned he must spend alot on tools, and she replied well its not like they just sit there. He always uses them.

Have great friends that I dont get to see as much as we like but I know I could count on them.

As I told someone the other day when they asked how my day was going: “I’m vertical, healthy and still employed. It’s a good day!”

Thanks for the reminder Lucy!

I’ve had a great day. A wife an kids who love me, a great home in peaceful country my first ever frame and panel door and an almost square first time dovetailed drawer and a router that works! Life is good.

My wife came home from a trip today and tomorrow I get my truck back from the garage. The truck work will be expensive but it’s been a pretty good truck and everything that was a problem will be fixed. There’s plenty of money in my checking account to cover the garage bill. Even in this economy our business is doing well and has a growing list of thrilled customers. What more could I want?

Migraine this week, but it isn’t cancer or some other dreaded disease ;-)) For all the reasons mentioned above, it is a good day.

Yes, It has been a good day.
Awesome thread! I’ve been learning over the last few years to enjoy and be thankful for the simple things in life. GOD certainly has my back.

When another Soldier doesn’t have to die for us.
When another SOB doesn’t beat his wife and kids.
When some pathetic foul doesn’t kill for the hell of it.
When little kids aren’t abused.
When children aren’t dieing for nothing.
When children don’t go without food.
No Politics or religion so I won’t go there.
Than maybe it will matter how my day was.

Yes I’ve had a great day. We are headed back to the Colorado Rockies ! Left The Texas gulf coast at 6:30 this morning. had a flat on the RV in Carslbad but Wally World was open and fixed us up. Tommorrow evening we”ll be sittin’ on the bank of a clear cool mtn. river at 10,000 feet. Can’t wait to get my fishin’ pole wet, or maybe pan for some gold….. don’t know what to do first…. Oh well no worries, We’ll be home ! Today was good tomorrow will be even better !

Yea I’ve had a great day.
Had a morning coffee with my daughter chatting and just catching up. Then went to collect a bunch of wooden pallets for free. Managed to get them all loaded and tied on for me, then actually managed to break them all apart and stack them in the shed. All under a spring feel sunshine.
Now that’s a good day.
Tommorrow is looking even better, I get to use the timber I collected!!!!!!!
