I would like to get in touch with some lumber experts to help me estimate board feet of lumber from some pictures I have. I would like to do it over PM instead of posting here. I would highly appreciate any help.

Thanks!

All you have to do is multiply the length in inches, by width in inches and thickness in inches then divide by 144.

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the lumber. This is a potential buy for me and all I have is a picture.

Then tell the seller to measure it or weigh it. Come on bro.

If they really want to sell it they will measure it and tell you how many BF it is.

If you can’t trust the seller to measure it for you, then have them take a picture with a tape measure stretched out next to the lumber pile. If they can’t handle that, then you probably need to find a better seller. I don’t buy from sellers that refuse to give me the information I need to make an informed decision.
