Topic tags/keywords: bubinga wenge cherry walnut ebony maple After 25 years as a furniture and jewelry box maker, I’m closing my shop due to health reasons. I’ve collected a great deal of wood over this time, and I’ve set up a web site listing the nicest lots of wood I have for sale. You can see it at: http://myplace.frontier.com/~markslumber/index.html The lumber for sale includes extremely highly figured Western Maple, Gabon Ebony, Curly Bubinga, and Table Top sets of Cherry, Curly Maple, and Walnut, among others. I will be adding to the list just as soon as I can. Still to come is Rosewood, Koa, Crotch Walnut, etc. Thanks for looking. Mark Rehmar |

Sounds good but a bit far from Tennessee. Sorry to hear about your health problems and trust everything will be OK in the future. My best to you! |

Some beautiful stuff and it looks like you’ve spent a lot of your precious time organizing and listing everything. I hope you find good homes for all of it. All the best! |

Sorry to read about your illness. That’s one of the best presentations of lumber for sale I’ve seen. -- Gary, Florida |

I’m also sorry to hear of your illness. I wish you well. Are you willing to ship any of your lumber? I, and I am sure many others, would be willing to pay a reasonable additional cost for shipping. -- Rich, Cedar Rapids, IA - I'm a woodworker. I don't create beauty, I reveal it. |

richgreer, Yes, I can ship lumber. Some of the lots of shorts, including all of the ebony, can go by FedEx Ground. The larger, longer lots would go by regular truck freight. Mark Rehmar |

Mark, so sorry to hear about your illness and the need to give up your shop. As an upcoming boxmaker I have the highest respect for your work. I have seen many of your boxes and they are absolutely beautiful. I truly hope that your illness is something that can get better over time, even if you won’t be able to return to the craft you love. Wish I could take advantage of some of the beautiful pieces of wood you have but timing is wrong…... Take care and good luck to you !!! -- Gene, Majestic Eagle Woodworks, http://majesticeagleww.etsy.com/, http://www.flickr.com/photos/majesticeagle/ |
