1st I am new to turning.. been at it for less than a year and need some advise on a chuck system..
On a very limited budget what would be the best chuck system.. using a 2 to 4 inch 4 jaw self-center from Grizzly now and it can not do what I need it to with out a lot of waste…
I would like to turn small bowls, candle holders, plates… nothing real large
Looking at the Barracuda2 it comes with 3 jaws, screw… etc..
Any advise would be great….

I have the chuck you are looking at. It has been great….everything I need and then some.

I’ve been using the One Way Talon for over 10 years. It’s a very good mid-sized chuck. However, I have also used the Barracuda that you mention. I consider the Barracuda to be as good as, if not better than, the One Way and it costs less, especially when you consider that the One Way comes with only 1 set of jaws.
