I’m the proud owner of a “new to me” Jet JWTS-10LFR saw. It’s my CL find of the year for only $200 bucks!

“Pshaww” you say?

I took a piece of particle board with me, set the cursor to 9” and cut twice, I now own a piece of 1/2” particle board that is EXACTLY 9” SQUARE, not close, exactly!

The old drive belt had such a bad set it made a bunch of noise so I shamelessly wheeled and dialed to $200.

I know it’s only a contractor saw but I had its cousin years ago when they were new and I ran acres of materials across it happily ignorant that it was only a contractor saw.

I’ve been struggling with an old Grizzly 1022 for a year now, this is such an upgrade I’m like a kid at Christmas… wait, it is Christmas!

Anyway, just another fat dumb and happy woodworker here.

A contractor saw got me going and helped me start doing what I love… woodchuckin’

I don’t regret ever buying that saw. Hope yours serves you well!

Thanks, it’s a ringer for the one I had for 4 years and slid a bunch of material across. The poor thing will probably serve me till I drop.

I have the same saw and really enjoy it. With a good blade it cuts really well. I hope you enjoy your “new” saw.

Well I’ve put the saw to work and things couldn’t be better.

I’ve discovered that cutting down some bigger pieces of 3/4” melamine will make the lightweight fence flex a bit at the far end so I’ve been using a small squeeze clamp on the outside to keep it still.

I picked up a Leecraft zero clearance insert at Woodcraft since the stock one was giving me fits. Let me tell you, the Leecraft insert is some of the best money I’ve ever spent on tools! I will be getting more.

I put my good Freud combination blade in the saw and it is humming and cutting like a fiend!
