Hello everyone I have just bought the cmt bowl kit . I got a DVD with it but I’m still not sure what the final thickness of the blank should be in the DVD he wasn’t give that out I believe it is 3inch anyone that has used this give me some help . Thank you

it can be whatever you want it to be, no rules here. I’ve made some with 8/4 stock…the bowl was 1&3/4” tall.

3” or some where near that would be what is suggested by the dvd. Both myself and MickeyD (the WIfe) have made these and they are rather fun. There is a lot of sanding though. If you watch the dvd real close you will notice they the man does not sand very well, (I think to make it look easier). I like the CMT bowl router bit and the extention very much and think they are better than some other brands that we have. Other bowls can be made from these tools.
