It’s getting rarer and rarer, but today I “scored” on ebay. I’d decided that I wanted a Incra router positioning system. I had thought about buying the Ultra that is currently on sale.

Today I bought, on ebay, a like new LS positioning system with the wonderbar and all the goodies for $276 (including shipping). Normal retail would be $399 plus tax and shipping.

This is not a huge victory but it is a very good victory.

Jim – I almost, but not quite, feel guilty.

Aren’t you getting sunlight 20+ hours per day?

Hey Jim,
If it stops raining in the next month or so… check out the three Tennessee Walking Horses I just sold to Alaska.

Alaska isn’t that big, is it? :)

Ever been to the Big Lake Country Club in Wasilla?

Randy,

Alaska is big, but there are so few people that everyone is closely connected to everyone else. No, I have not been to the Country Club, but we have been kinda eyeballing property up there. I am always surprised by the number of horses around, especially those in the interior. Hard to protect them during the winter. Wasilla’s climate is warmer than ours here in Anchorage, though. The only part of Alaska that is kinda separate is the southeast panhandle, Juneau down to Ketchikan. They identify with Seattle some. The rest of Alaska is hubbed around Anchorage, and to some extent Fairbanks.

Have good one….......58 deg at 0700hrs, mostly cloudy today.

Yes, it was the one from MA. I feel pretty lucky. It’s been a while since I got a really good deal on e-bay. There are too many people bidding that don’t know what they are doing and they’re running the prices up way too high.

PurpLev – I’m glad you got to the party late. You might have outbid me.

knowing it’s you, I’m glad I got late as well :) sometimes these auctions are getting out of hand and people end up paying more than what they would is they bought it brand new – like a LV low angle that just sold for $$223+$13 shipping when a brand new from LV is $215 + ~$10 shipping or sometimes FREE shipping… I just dont get it sometimes.

congratulations! it’s a great system.

I think there are some dumb people that get caught up in the competition and they have to win, even if they pay way too much.

I tell people repeatedly, don’t bid on e-bay unless you really know the market for the product you are buying.
