What I mean by that is do you feel most people around the forums who use it on a daily/weekly basis recognize your username, Avatar posts and have generally have a personality pegged to your online identity? If you don’t feel this way, are you bothered by this? Or do you generally not have any interest/care about people giving your posts more thought/attention than just a first time poster/unknown poster?

For me I feel I’ve been here for a while and built up a large enough post count full of unforgettable humour and amazing advice (ok I’m stretching that part quite a lot :P), and I feel I’ve gotten to know quite a few individuals on here where I’d be a lil sad when/if (I’ll probably be posting here for another 50 years) I stop posting. I guess you can call me sad, but I enjoy having an online identity in this forum, and I also appreciate the characters and great people who make this site work.

I feel very unnoticed. No one recognizes me or acknowledges my posts. Maybe in another 1,360 days I’ll be able to develop some sort of identity.

If Charlie feels unnoticed, I don’t get the question… :(

I think you get from it what you put in…if people don’t want to read what I have written, I won’t be offended.

Just have to help one or two people like I have been helped and it will all be worth it.

I found this form about a month ago, I generally check it a few times a day during my breaks and lunch hour at work, but allready there are quite a few people that I recognise from their various posts, in skimming through a subject if I see their posts I will stop and read them. When I created my account I had to come up with an avatar, so I took the one I made for my xbox account, which looks nothing like me, but when given the ability to make a charicter I genneraly try to make them look as stupid as I can. There are some really amazing craftsmen hanging out on here, hopefully i’ll have some of their wisdom rub off on me, but you know what they say, you can lead a horse to water, but you cant make him think.

Isn’t he the one who pulls of a chair, props his feet up and brings the popcorn when there is an electrical question?

Lucywu2012 – avatars definitely help people remember you!

I have not been here that long but I have received unbelievable support and help. Do people know me? Probably not – or they know me as the one with all the stupid questions!!!

My hope is that at some point I can actually be one of the people who answers some of the questions! I’m thinking that is going to be awhile but I sure appreciate all of the patience that the board has shown me.

Have a great woodworking weekend everyone!

I noticed the same thing and thought WTF? I’ve got 30 times that post count and don’t expect anyone to notice a darn thing I say.

A great place to share with friends.
Some are recognized, while others maybe not as much.
It would be pretty difficult to not know who has an animal on their head.
Holding a family member? A piece of art or a crooked smile.
All are unique and good people that share the love, beauty and the feel of wood.

Don’t let that guy named Kent fool you…..he’s not in the WPP, that’s a WANTED POSTER of him in the post office….so be on the lookout, cause he’s a dangerous individual. But I saw him…..he’s hiding out down in Texas…...He don’t want anyone to know who he is, so he don’t post on here much…he might get caught….lol

Never thought much about it … I check in here because I enjoy viewing projects and workshops, and learn something from the forums. If there is something I can share … to me, that is just a bonus.
