Topic tags/keywords: jet rip fence extension wings table saw for sale

Hey folks,
I have a (new to me) JET 10” Arbor Saw
Model JTAS-10-1
My woodworking pal gave it to me last week.
The only thing is, it has no fence or wings.
I can’t find affordable ones. (Of either)
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Other than trolling EBay and Craigs list looking for old saws/parts here’s what I’d do:

Fence: Delta T3 from Home Depot. About $200 bucks and should fit the saw with minimum adaptation (may need to drill and/or tap some holes for rail mounting but cast iron should work easily….

Wings (extensions): Make your own from hardwood and other material. Use hardwood for framework and some sheet material (plywood or MDF/MDO) for the surface area. You might want to use laminate (formica) to cover the surface, makes it slick and durable. I used Corian scrap on mine, works fine.

Good Luck and remember…

You won’t find it in the stores, it’s Internet order only. The link I list above should take you right to it.

Good Luck!

The stock fence for that saw would be the Jet Xacta II, which is a good Biese Commercial clone, and likely a tad expensive. AFAIK, it’s the same fence as the HTC, which might be a bit cheaper. The Shop Fox Classic would be a good alternative, but is still north of $300.

The Delta T3 is about the best fence in the $200 range I can think of….it’s a somewhat lighter duty of the original XactaII fence. You might need to drill or redrill a couple of holes in the cast iron.

Vega makes a couple of nice fences that are a good bang for the buck too.
