Topic tags/keywords: resource question jointer

I found this jointer not far from where I live. I could go and have a look at it. I need to know

1- brand and model (the owner has no idea)

2- is it worth to buy if working good (the owner says it works)

3- how much would you pay for it. (the asking price is $450) I offered $100 (I cannot really afford more than that)

Are spare parts available for this machine?

I wish I could get a 8” however I have no room for it. This one I could find a spot in my basement.

Thank you

PS: I do not mind restoring the machine.

I don’t have any info for you but, it looks like a nice restoration project. But, I think you over-extended a bit at $100. $450 is just plain silly. I’d keep lookin’. Too bad though, that thing could be downright sexy!

Appears to be an old Delta short bed 6”... like this 37-207

$450 would be a high price even if it was already restored.

Cheers,
Brad
