ACACIA ???????
I found an Australian Wattle tree being cut down and noticed the dark centre. I immediately thought it would be interesting so I collected all the pieces bigger than 2 inch diameter. It turns very nicely but still has the sap running out so for now it is waxed on the ends. At the bottom of the stack and a couple of pieces on top. Eucalyptus Caesea,
This one was the result of being cut out of a friends garden. It is stacked in the middle of the pile and has the red/brown centre. It is also very green and has been waxed on the ends.
Olive” This was cut from another garden about 9 months ago, still too green to use, but hasn’t been waxed. This has the white wood, with very little colour. *”Native Hibiscus” *There are 3 small pieces of this from my Daughters garden in Geraldton, the wood is creamy and has some lovely stain/spalt colours. I have a rough turned piece of this sitting in some shavings slowly drying.

Hope you enjoy this. Comments welcome

All these logs didn’t follow you home. It is mine. I left it out there to get more air so it would dry faster. If you can mail it back to me, I would appreciate it. LOL.
Really Bob, that’s a great haul. That would all be some great lumber around here. Looking forward seeing some great looking projects.

Followed you home yeah, read in the paper about some guy over in West Aus. going around at night cutting down trees and carting away. Joking Bob, that sure is a great haul and look forward to seeing what you create from it.
Would enjoy it more if it was in my yard. Well done Bob. Have fun.

Thanks guys, it will be probably another 12 months before it gets used, unless I “jUST hAVE” TO TURN A BIT OF IT GREEN.
Who knows what will happen
Fun for sure.
