Topic tags/keywords: for sale plane

Hey everyone,
Here I have a Stanley No. 3 type 19 (1948-1961) that is in immaculately clean condition. It has between 99 and 100 percent japanning. It has no damaged nickel plating, which is very very shiny. The tote and knob are rosewood instead of painted hardwood, and the lacquer is quite complete, with a few very small chips in the lacquer here and there. There are no breaks in the casting nor are there any cracks in the wood. All in all, this is a great collectors plane, but you could use it if you wanted to. Asking price is 90$, which is 24 dollars less than a collectors plane of the same type and number with less japanning on Ebay, but if you think this is still too high, than please PM me and I am more than willing to negotiate to make you happy! If you’re interested or willing to buy, you can either PM me or comment on this thread. If you need any other pictures, just let me know. Finally, if you are dead set on buying this plane but don’t have enough money, just let me know, and I can reserve it for you.

The lateral adjuster is very nice on this plane, its not too tight, but not too loose either, making it very good for adjustments

This picture of one of the screws show just how shiny the nickel plating is

Very clean japanning at the heel, which is a spot where japanning usually chips frequently

There’s a little bit of paint splatter on the knob, but its nothing a dental pick or a razor blade won’t fix

The blade has a lot of life left in it, which is why this plane could make a great user too
