the company wants my vocational woodshop program to start making tables and chairs for the residential segment. to that end, im looking at investing in a heavy duty mortising machine. theyre willing to pay for it, so budget isnt much of a concern. i was looking at the powermatic 719C, but was wondering if anyone knew of a better one. also, opinions of the ones you have used. im not looking for a benchtop model, so lets leave those out. uses will be for oak, hickory, and ashe furniture, from chairs to beds. i have a feeling that we will be supplying all the furniture for residential in the near future. also, ive never used a floor model, just a benchtop. so let me know what i should be looking at. thanks |
