Topic tags/keywords: jocks Is there a way to sort or look up Jocks by location? I think it would be cool to be able to look up all of the members within my state or within a certain distance from where I live. -- Hey, woodworking ain't brain surgery. Just do something and keep trying till you get it. Doc |

Yes, it could be a really cool idea. -- Mad F, the fanatical rhykenologist and vintage architect. Democraticwoodworking. |

Sadly doc, I don’t think there is. I wish there was because I have wanted to do the same thing but I was unable to find an easy way to do it. So, being willing to find a Lumberjock near me, I went through EVERY page of the Shops section looking for someone near me but came up empty handed. I think it we be great if they could incorperate some sort of member search into the system. -- Dothan, Alabama Check out my woodworking blog! http://woodworkingtrip.blogspot.com/ Also my Youtube Channel's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SailingAndSuch |

Look at the Jocks section. From what I’ve seen most of them have at least a state they are in. -- BobG, Lowell, Arkansas--------My goal in life is to be the kind of person my dog thinks I am! Make more saw dust!! |

Under “Shops” you will see a map that identifies various LJs by location. Unfortunately, it is very incomplete. For example, there are no LJs identified in Iowa and I know there are many Iowa LJs. We need to be able to sort the Jocks in the Jocks section by state. -- Rich, Cedar Rapids, IA - I'm a woodworker. I don't create beauty, I reveal it. |

Keep in mind that some LJs prefer to keep it ‘virtual’, as a preference over strangers trying to invite themselves over. What do you intend to do with the nearby LJs that you have found? -- Einstein: "The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift." I'm Poopiekat!! |
