Topic tags/keywords: resource cedar

I have an entirely too large woodpile of eastern red cedar(over a 1000 bf). I just picked up a osage tree yesterday and the wife has said if I want to unload it I have to make arrangements to get rid of some of the cedar. They are all still logs but they are from hurricane ike so it isn’t totally green. I have sizes from 28 in diameter down to 3 in. Most are 5 to 6 feet and some are 8. I am not asking any money for the wood. I just want to share and all I ask is you make something out of it and show it off here. Let me know if interested. I won’t be able to check back here until tomorrow, so don’t think I am not responding. I have to judge a cook-off in an hour and have a gig this evening, so I promise I will let everyone know tomorrow. Please help me out. I have to keep momma happy. Have a great day

What a nice jeaster. It’s nice to see that someone would offer something from a tradgey to someone that would make something beautiful from it. See there America there’s still good people here.

I am a shop teacher and my students love making cedar blanket chest boxes. I am tentatively scheduled to deliver a load of hay to the Dallas area for a farmer here in the St Louis area. I will have a 53ft box trailer/semi. I am willing to take as much as you have left and use it for my class. I will let you know in the next day or two when I am coming that way. PM me a phone number if you can. Also would want to make sure the trip is worth it, not that the wood isn’t worth it, but to drive an 18 wheeler that far to pickup 100bf probably doesn’t make economic sense on my part, if you understand what I mean.
