Hi Everyone. Here I sit at the computer staring at my screen and wishing I had the abilities that all of you possess. I’m kind of old now with only one decent eye in the pair I was given but I don’t let it stop me from attempting many different things. First I want to thank all of you who have welcomed this old Marine aboard the Good Ship, Termite. I have made some sawdust in my time but nothing I can brag about. Since I was trained as a construction electrician and not a carpenter, sawdust is what I can make the best. Hardly anything else that is. I sure could use help from the guys and gals out there. I’ve been retired now for some years but I don’t sit still. I have involved myself with ideas, plans and scemes about projects that science teachers in our schools can work on with their students. In fact I am a volunteer suppport person for the Clark County School District here in Las Vegas. Gives me something to do and keeps the cob webs away from my brain but just a little. I use SolidWorks to design my projects and I may have made the world’s first Solar Heated Duplex Birdhouse. At least that is what one thermal engineer told me with over 30 years of experience to his credit. He never heard of anything like this before. Neither have I come to think of it. I would post it but I don’t have any idea yet as to how to do that. It was posted to the SolidWorks Teachers Web Site so STEM teachers could download it for free. STEM= Science, Technoloy, Engineering and Math. Anyway, what I need help on now is, I want to build a wooden pendulum clock. I have searched around on this topic and found only one site that gave away free plans to four different models. I do keep within my volunteer budget because what I do, I do absolutely free to benefit our kids. Please help if you can. Thanks. -- Rich, Nevada, |
