I am once again impressed with the quality of customer service at Rockler. I ordered a set of three plug cutters online. When the order arrived, I was glad to see that the cutters were made in Montana by a company called Montana Brands.

I went to the Montana Brands web site to see what other products they offered. Then I noticed that the plug cutter set that I bought from Rockler for $50 was only $28 directly from the manufacturer.

Last night I wrote a kind-tempered email to Rockler stating the facts and expressing my unhappiness. Today, I received a phone call from Rockler. The woman was very sincere and thanked me for pointing the price difference out to them. She explained that they have not ordered anything from Montana Brands in a long while and were unaware that the manufacturer had dropped the price.

Rockler is going to credit my card the difference, $22, plus sales tax.

Rockler is one of those companies that has managed to grow in size and still maintain a high level of service.

I’ve had very good service from Rockler. Not necessarily the best price but good service.

I have always been pleased with Rockler service and I love their very fast delivery. However, for all intents and purposes, I only buy something that is on sale. Their regular prices are just too high.

Rich & Howie – I agree about the prices. I check out the sales items every once in a while, especially when they are offering free shipping.
