Topic tags/keywords: tip

I see this a lot on other forums. And most folks can’t figure out why.

So, try this. No guarantees, but it works for me on my Android phone.

Before you post your pics, edit each one by cropping the image ever so slightly (even none at all will work). Then save it and upload the edited picture.

The result is your picture should post with the correct orientation.

I am not an expert, but the information in the meta data changes the orientation once the image has been edited and saved.

Hope this helps.
Mike

Many of the problems are associated with iPhones and are known issues. It is easy to do a Google search and find articles with an explanation.

Good tip Mike. I’ve always used “paint” program to re-size pictures after they are transferred into my computer for posting here, Facebook, and in emails that I send. Being smaller, I don’t have any problem posting and/or sending them in emails. When “saving” them tho, I always put a small e at the end of the newly named picture so I know i can send it in email or post it to a forum, here, FB, or wherever. Hope this might help too
