Irwin set, but there is a Stanley bit. The box was falling apart and the bits needed rust removal, but I’m happy with it now. Used Howard’s Cherry Restor-a-Shine. The box was white oak. All followed with paste wax. Anyone know a date on these?

Nice! I would guess mid to late 50s … good job on the box.

Ditto on 50s. I have the same set, it’s awesome!

Thanks—yeah, the box was cracking and needed a lot of repair. But the whole set was a $20 bill. Sort of a project that landed in my lap. The brace went the same way.

The control of using an auger is something I never realized before….

Great set of bits and a nice restore on the box.
