Hi all
It’s been a while.
I have made thiis tumbling block pattern jewellery box.
She for whom it was made is less than satisfied because the lid must be opened right back. She would like it to be able to stay upright like in the second photo.
Does anyone know of a mail order hardware company that can supply a stay; preferably an articulated arm or a strut. Cabinet stays are too large.

Cheers
Max

Nice work, tell her she is being too picky. Ya, wouldn’t work with mine either. Maybe take off the hinges, find some 110 degree hinges, or 105 degree, to replace the 90 degree hinge. Good luck with it!

Thanks Dan, it was quite tricky cutting the diamonds on the table saw. Nearly lost a digit or two.
Any recommendations for sourcing those hinges?

Rockler might have what you need, either in hinges or stays.

Brusso makes a lid stay that’s very nice.I think Rockler might still sell them as well.

I haven’t installed one in a long time since I went to Quadrant hinges.Plus it’s just one more thing to get right on a completed box.Knda nerve racking.
