I have a cutting board that my father gave me and I want to make another one just like it but don’t know how to make this large of a groove. I talmost looks like the shape of a panel cutting bit. Any ideas?

Welcome to LJ’s, Ironag.
That’s a nice looking cutting board.
I bet that groove prevents most of the food from falling or dripping all over the place. LoL.
I recommend a bowl making bit.
After making the board you could make a template and use a router to form a similar large groove maybe making multiple passes.
This bit is on my list but I haven’t acquired one yet.
The bowls that this bit is designed for are becoming quite popular now.
I’d like to make some, some day.
