I recently moved from Louisville and can’t find anyone near me who sells kiln-dried rough-sawn lumber. I usually buy in small quantities too so that doesn’t make it any easier. I’m trying to avoid driving 100+ miles (Louisville or Nashville) so if anyone knows of a supplier in this area please post or message me with their contact info. TIA.

Bagdad lumber is one of the few around.

Thanks. I’ve spoken to him before but always bought from Roger Bonesteel. I’ll map it, if it’s not significantly closer to me I’ll just make the drive to Bonesteel and visit family & friends while I’m up there.

If you were closer, you could check out Middle TN Lumber, but it’s all the way in Dixon, TN, almost 2 hours south, and I would assume you probably want something closer to you.

Don’t know anything about them, but there’s supposed to be a

McInturf may be a bit closer than Bagdad or Bonesteel:

I was trying to find someone closer but thank you for the info. I have a local lady who wants me to build her a “barn wood” bathroom vanity and my only choices at this point are white pine and dimensional lumber – or green lumber. A vanity doesn’t require enough wood to justify driving the truck that far if there’s an alternate closer.

I called and the lady who answered said C Miller Logging & Lumber has closed, just a FYI. She gave me the number for a Lone Oak Lumber, I called but no answer. I’ve spoken to McInturf before as well but never bought from him. He seems like a real nice guy too.

I kinda wish they were closer to me. Those are some good prices, though it does say mostly air dried.

Have your say...
