They took off Woodsmith Shop & replaced it with a Woodturning program with Tim Yoder on Create Tv on PBS.

I caught that on my PBS too. I’ve found it interesting even though I don’t own a lathe. It replaced the woodsmith shop which fills in for the Woodwright Shop in the off season. I don’t know if it they are just trying it out or not.
IN case anyone from PBS is listening, I like the woodwright shop first, then prefer the woodsmith shop as it hits a broader interest range for me ;)

Greetings,

I am not a turner, so this show doesn’t interest me at all…..I guess I need to learn, but again… no interest.
I’m with Swirt….. Give me the Woodsmith Shop, or a good woodworking show…
But for the turners out there, you should enjoy this program a lot….. I guess….?

I hate to see Woodsmith Shop go away. Woodturning Workshop is not a new show, probably just new to your area.

For you folks that don’t turn: Don’t watch it. You will get sucked in. I warned you!

I hate to see Woodsmith Shop go also, I prefer it to wood turning but I thought I’d let the turners or any one interested know about it…

I’ve been DVRing it, nice show. He talks like the folks watching have a clue yet explains the basics. I’ll keep watching

Hi All,

The “Woodturning Workshop” has recently been added to our PBS television line-up.

I’m not a “turner”, but Tom Yoder does a fine job of sharing his craft, and making it interesting to boot!

He does a fine job of explaining what he is trying to do, and narrating as he does it. You can tell, he has done this long enough, he’s not distracted by explaining while he works.

He makes me SMILE ….

Thanks Tom
