I am here in New Hampshire at the Windsor Institute with my 11 year old son and we had a great day today. He has his spindles roughed out, his arm and bow are bent, and he has a good start on his seat. He is wiped out but I think it is from the mental parts of it all rather than the labor that goes into making the chair parts. It could be the stress of his dad being there guiding him every step of the way. I was happy to see how well he handled a drawknife because that was my biggest fear. Mike commented on how well he was doing and said that Freddy may very well be the youngest student he has ever had in his class. I am just glad to see how focused he is about completing his chair because there is a lot of instruction prior to each task. His attention span has been great and even when I don’t think he is listening he’s all over it. Can’t wait until tomorrow so I can be proud dad all over again.

That’s great Fred . It’s wonderful you and your son can take this class together. Say hi to Mike for us.
