Hate to do it, but time to let her go. For sale mdy Northfield Planer. I’ve had it five years runs like a champ.

I bought it locally in Morgantown PA and it was in a school since new. (I called northfield prior to purchase and got the history on the machine).

I had Northfield custom make the dust hood. I also have their setup gauges that I would consider letting go with the planer and it wasn’t cheap. I also got the manual from them and the proper stickers with the intent of stripping it down repaintin and restoring to factory new. However I’ve just used the sucker. Its 5hp 3 phase 220v. direct drive motor drives the cutter head and a seperate motor drives the feed rollers.

Its an amazing planer I put new blades in it. I’m asking 2300 for it. If you know northfield that planer today is a 15k planer and industrial made and is still made in America with the same design (this one was made in late 60’s.

It’s skidded and ready for yo to come get I do have an American rotary 10hp RPC with a baldor 10hp idler motor if you be interested we could talk a deal. Otherwise you could put a phase converter.

Here’s one pic. I’m in Pottstown PA about 45 min west of PHilly and an hour east of Hershey.

C’mon, don’t keep us in suspense, this should have been snapped up already. I love this basic style of machine, been copied many times. The pressure bar is easy to adjust dynamically by means of the two tabs for that purpose peeking out from under the dust hood (we are looking at the outfeed side, yes?) and after sharpening or replacing the knives just a little tweak of one table screw brings it into perfect parallelism. Takes the worry out of being close. L

Just took a look at the other images on Flickr. The manual is open to a page with the knife grinder on it; don’t tell me that is included, too? Wow, if it is. L

It’s stil avail. I had a guy come by and look and figure and no more contacts. Had several “is it still there” and said yes but no takers yet. I did not have the grinder, but knives are for all intent new.

the paige was to show how it could be disassembled to move and that page was in the group. Wish I did have it.

Its a beast of a planer and 15k new today.
