I’ve been thinking about making a small hairbrush for my 1 year old daughter. About a month ago, right before before bedtime I brushed her hair with my wife’s brush and she just sat their in a trance. I’ve thought about making one ever since, but I’m not sure about the logistics of getting the bristles into the brush. Has anyone here made one before?

Check out “How It’s Made Paint Brushes” on you tube and it might give you an idea. I have seen brushes made by hand decades ago during a tour of UNICOR (Federal Prison Industries) Leavenworth. They made small bundles of bristles, then placing one end of the bundle into a drilled hole containing glue. I think it may have been hot hide glue.
